aint Émilion does not have its own style, but each château offers a specific quality; yet, in common, the wines enjoy the extraordinarily seductive quality of this soil; even when young, they will contrast sharply with the austerity of a Médoc wine of the same age. Our secret is, firsty, linked to the earth on a chalky stampion plateau with a relatively temperate climate, which is exceptionally sunny due to the position of our vineyard, situated as it is on the southern slope of the hills. All these favourable elements permit us to expect an optimal ripening of the grapes every year. Then we must respect the different plots of ground all through the harvesting, fermentation and throughout the whole procedure .
This is how we made the first Great Wine worthy of the best Saint Émilion.
What a pleasure to be able to discover a thousand subtleties through a wine.
And precisely by tasting the vintages and comparing them, these nuances are easily appreciated. Without a doubt they have a family air, but each year can boast of its own richness.
Should it be drunk young or old ?
Today, it is no longer a crime to drink these wines younger. The tradition, however, is to let the red wines age over a longer period, especially the Saint Émilion and, in particular, the Bellefont Belcier
.

The bottles should be sheltered from the light and laid on their side so that the cork does not dry and retains its properties. You should, if possible, maintain a constant temperature (13-18 degrees) with an appropriate hygrometry (70-80%)..

The wines of the Bellefont Belcier château are resistent to time and can thus be conserved over numerous years. We would advise you, after four or five years, to taste them periodically so as to witness their evolution and thus to perfect your personal knowledge of the vintage.
